AMC Networks has announced that The Walking Dead Daryl Dixon Season 3, featuring the much-loved characters Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), has started filming in Spain.

Scheduled to air in 2025, the series is under the executive production of Scott M. Gimple, Showrunner David Zabel, Reedus, McBride, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Dan Percival, and Steve Squillante. Silvia Aráez and Jesús de la Vega have joined as executive producers for this season, and Peregrinos SP24 will provide Spanish production services for season 3.

The Walking Dead Daryl Dixon Season 3 will be set in Madrid, with extensive location shooting in the Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia, and Valencia regions, providing new and diverse backdrops for the post-apocalyptic world.

Production starts just before the highly anticipated season two premiere, which will air on October 4 in Spain and September 29 in the U.S. on AMC and AMC+.

In season three, viewers will follow Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier as they continue their quest to find their way back home and to their loved ones. Their journey takes them to unfamiliar and ever-changing lands with different conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.

Showrunner Zabel expressed excitement about returning to set with Norman, Melissa, and the cast, along with a talented local crew in Spain, highlighting their expertise and creative vision in bringing the landscapes to life and adding a culturally rich dimension to the series. When Daryl Dixon season one premiered in late 2023, it quickly became the #1 most-viewed premiere of all time on AMC+. It also became the most-viewed season of any show in the history of AMC+ and a key driver of acquisitions in both the U.S. and Spain.
