One of Hollywood’s biggest actors, Glen Powell, is spending a special episode of Family Guy with the Griffins at Quahog.
It won’t, however, be a typical episode with a celebrity voice appearance, as that is customarily done in the show. The voice cast of the Fox animated series will welcome Powell, the star of popular films such as Twisters, Top Gun: Maverick, Hit Man, and Anyone But You, to the show’s Halloween special. The special will be available exclusively on Hulu on October 14, 2024.
Powell’s involvement in Family Guy was revealed this weekend at the San Diego Comic-Con presentation.
Though the show’s formal comeback to television isn’t scheduled until 2025, creator Seth MacFarlane gave fans a hint this past April when he revealed that two holiday episodes would be exclusively on Hulu in 2024. Additionally, he had mentioned that these would be Christmas and Halloween specials, respectively.
As reported by Comic Book, Powell’s casting for the Halloween special was announced at the SDCC presentation. Powell will play “the reigning champion in Quahog’s annual Pumpkin Contest.”
The 23rd season of Family Guy is presently under production and is scheduled to premiere on Fox in 2025.
